Name changes: Framatome to become Areva NP; Cogema to become Areva NC

It's been about five years since Framatome, Cogema and CEA Industrie merged to form Areva. The giant company wants to harmonize its commercial brands, and the name changes are expected to be formalized in coming months. The NP stands for nuclear power. NC stands for nuclear cycle.
