Coolant was added to the backup generator and it was returned to working order 45 minutes later. Cook plant - a bevy of fish at intake screens degarded flow to turbine, prompting manual reactor trip, and to EDGs, prompting all to be declared inoperable. The Alert lasted about 25 hours. April 23, 2003 Both EDGs at Lasalle were inoperable during a 29-minute period between 7 and 8 pm. One had been down for routine surveillance. The other came into inoperable status when room dampers closed -- an AO was investigating a spurious CO2 alarm and opened the fire control panel. Details in event report. |
