Point Beach ... says the backup cooling system problem is under control.

Nuclear Management's Maureen Brown said, "We have a robust safety culture. We self-identified these issues, we corrected them, and we have a performance improvement plan we think will not only restore the regulatory confidence but propel Point Beach on a path of being on of the best nuclear plants in the country."

Point Beach operators say the plant recently underwent management changes and is now conducting regular tests to ensure problems are fixed.
